Overview of Impedance Protection Function of DC Cooling Fan

    As we all know, the DC heat sink fan is an important heat sink for modern industrial products.Its structure consists of blades, housings, motors ( motors ), bearings, power plugs and wires. The motor is the core of the direct current cooling fan and generally consists of a stator and a rotor.The stationary part of the motor during operation is called the stator and the rotating part is called the rotor.         Impedance protection refers to the impedance connected between the charged part and the easily accessible conductive part of Class II structure, limiting the current to a safe value in normal use and in case of possible failure of the appliance.

The impedance of DC cooling fan will produce two functions, one is impedance protection function and the other is thermal protection function, which are introduced as follows:

1.Impedance protection:DC heat dissipation fan is a kind of heat dissipation equipment that converts electric energy into mechanical energy to drive blades to rotate through DC voltage and electromagnetic induction. The design of the impeller and blades of the DC heat-dissipating fan is closely related to the air volume of the DC heat-dissipating fan, the wind pressure and the compression and collision capacity of the fan blades, and seriously affects the grade and quality of the entire DC heat-dissipating fan. Therefore, in order to prevent the motor from burning when it is turned off, the impedance protection sets the impedance of the motor winding ( AC resistance ) to keep the temperature rise below the burning temperature.

2.Thermal protection:In order to prevent the motor from burning when it is turned off, conventional fans are not protected from overheating by cutting off the thermal components before the temperature of the motor rises to the burning temperature.The normal DC cooling fans can only lock the machine for 2 hours.As the temperature rises slowly, the motor will burn out and the IC will burn, which is also an important function of overheating protection.

      From the above, we can know that the DC cooling fan has the protection function of impedance, so everyone can use it safely.In addition, the blade balance of the DC cooling fan is related to the performance of the whole DC cooling fan.The blade balance of the DC cooling fan is more positive and generally adopts dynamic balance.Its principle is between the static blade adjustable DC cooling fan and the single-stage movable blade adjustable DC cooling fan, because its impeller has only one stage, the mass imbalance caused by blade wear is concentrated on the impeller, and its dynamic balance process is a single-plane dynamic balance process, that is, a static balance process. If it is confirmed that the vibration is caused by mass imbalance, the vibration of the fan can be reduced to a reasonable range only by vertically vibrating the casing next to the bearing housing and weighting the impeller with the influence coefficient method.
